λ£° General Match Rules

Singles Match Format: Best of 3 sets. In the event of a 1-1 set tie, the third set will be decided by a 10-point Super Tie-break, following ATP rules.

Grace Period: There is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals on match day. After this time, the present player may claim a win by walkover (W.O.).

λ£° Playing in Two Categories

This option is designed to accelerate player leveling and provide more matches. We ask that players who choose to play in two categories have the schedule availability and physical condition to meet all commitments.

Main Rule: Players may compete in up to two categories: their Official category and one category immediately Above it.

Exception: Players in the SILVER+ category cannot compete in the GOLD category.

Mandatory Rule: It is not permitted to register only for the higher category. If a player chooses to compete in just one category, it must be their official one.

Priority of the Official Category: To ensure the league runs smoothly, players competing in two categories must always prioritize their official category. Failure to follow the rules below will result in penalties:

Negligence: If a player is found to be neglecting their official category to prioritize the higher one, they will be automatically disqualified from the higher category.

Necessary Walkover (W.O.): If a player needs to concede a W.O., it must always be in the higher category.

Accumulated Walkovers: A player who accumulates 3 or more walkovers (or defaults) in their official category with no walkovers in the higher category will be disqualified from the higher category.

πŸ“ˆ Promotion and Relegation System

Conditions for Promotion (Moving Up)

1 - Standard Promotion: Three players are promoted from each official category per season. These spots are awarded to:

- The Category Champion.

- The two Playoff Finalists.

2 - Contingency for Vacant Promotion Spot: A special rule applies if one of the Playoff Finalists has already secured a promotion spot through another method (e.g., via the RP Tournament).

In this case, their playoff promotion spot becomes vacant.

To fill this spot, a play-in match will be held between the 3rd and 4th place finishers of the playoff. The winner of this match will earn the final promotion spot.

3 - Promotion Through the Higher Category: If a player does not get promoted from their official category but finishes in the top 3 of the higher category they are competing in, they will also be promoted.

Example: Anthony plays in BRONZE (official) and BRONZE+. If he finishes in the top 3 of BRONZE+ but not BRONZE, he moves up to BRONZE+ for the next season.

4 - Double Promotion: If a player finishes in the top 3 of both their official category and the higher category, they receive a "double promotion," skipping one category.

Example: Anthony finishes in the top 3 of both BRONZE and BRONZE+. He will be promoted directly to the SILVER category next season.

5 - RP Tournament Promotion: One player per category will be promoted via the RP TOURNAMENT. This is one of the methods that can trigger the contingency rule mentioned in point #2.

Conditions for Relegation (Moving Down)

Standard Relegation: A player who is relegated in their official category and not in the higher category will be moved down normally.

Saved by Higher Category: If a player is relegated in their official category but earns promotion in the higher category, they will remain in their official category.

Penalty for Poor Performance in Higher Category: If a player is relegated from the higher category but maintains their standing in the official category, they will be prohibited from playing in the higher category for one season.

πŸ“Š Competition Format and Standings

Group Stage: Each category will be divided into 2 groups. All players will face each other within their respective groups. The group distribution will be based on the previous season's rankings to ensure balance.

General Standings: The points from all matches (Group 1 and Group 2) will be consolidated into a single general ranking for each category.

Category Final (Except GOLD): At the end of the group stage, the top 2 players in the general standings will play the final to determine the category champion.

Playoffs for Promotion (Except GOLD):

Players ranked from 2nd to 17th in the general standings will compete in a single-elimination playoff.

The two playoff finalists will earn promotion to the next category, along with the category champion.

GOLD Category System: The top 16 players in the general standings will qualify for a single-elimination playoff to determine the champion and runner-up.

Relegation by Category Size:

Up to 20 players: The bottom 3 are relegated.

More than 20 players: The bottom 4 are relegated.

GOLD Category: The bottom 4 are relegated.

Point System per Match:

Win: 3 points

Win by Walkover (W.O.): 3 points

Loss: 1 point

Loss by Walkover (W.O.): 0 points

Canceled Match: 0 points for both players

πŸ—“οΈ Match Scheduling

Round Draws: The draw will take place every Sunday night, releasing two rounds at a time to make scheduling easier.

Official Week: This is the week indicated in red in the group chat, with specific start and end dates. Matches should ideally be played during this week.

Bonus Week: This is the week following the official week. It serves as the final deadline to play the match, provided there is mutual agreement between the players.

Flexibility: No one is obligated to play outside the "Official Week." A player needing flexibility (playing early or using the bonus week) is subject to their opponent's availability.

If no agreement on a new date can be reached, the player who was unavailable during the official week will lose by W.O.

Rescheduling: If a match is rescheduled by mutual consent, the new date becomes the "official date." Canceling this new arrangement will result in a W.O. for the canceling player. Therefore, only reschedule if you are certain you can play.

πŸ‘€ Player Responsibilities

Home Player:

Contact: You are required to contact your opponent to schedule the match by Tuesday of the official week at the latest. Failure to do so may result in a W.O. loss if the opponent no longer has availability.

Balls: You must bring a new can of balls for the match.

Court: You are responsible for choosing the court and ensuring it is ready for play (booking, lights, etc.). Any issue that prevents the match from happening (court occupied, wet, insufficient rental time) will result in a W.O. victory for the away player.

Away Player:

Response: You must respond to the home player's message by Wednesday at 11:59 PM at the latest. After this time, playing the match is at the discretion of the home player.

Proactiveness: While not required, the away player is encouraged to contact the home player to help expedite scheduling.

Location: You must accept the match location chosen by the home player.

✈️ Travel Pass

This rule allows players who are traveling a chance to reschedule their matches.

How It Works: A player who is traveling can, upon their return, attempt to reschedule missed matches, provided their opponents agree. If no agreement can be reached, the matches will be recorded as a W.O. loss.

Proof: It is mandatory to send proof of travel (flight itinerary, hotel reservation) to the organization before the trip begins.

Deadline: The player will have a 2-week period after their return date to play the pending matches, respecting the final deadline of the group stage.

πŸ“’ Results and Communication

Reporting Scores: Both players are responsible for posting the final score (including walkovers and defaults) in the group's results table (via the LetzPlay app) by Sunday at 7:00 PM.

Unreported Matches: Matches with no reported score by the end of the bonus week will be considered canceled (0 points for both players).

App: The app used for draws, standings, and results is LetzPlay.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Conduct and Fair Play

Integrity and respect are fundamental to our league.

Reporting Issues: Any uncomfortable situation during a match (questionable line calls, insults, unsportsmanlike conduct) must be reported to the organization via email at [email protected].

Recurrence: Players with a history of poor behavior will be asked to leave the league to ensure a positive and healthy environment for everyone.

Any player who experiences any uncomfortable situation during the game, whether with questionable balls, swearing, or any type of inappropriate behavior, must report it to the organization via email:

[email protected]

Players who repeatedly display bad behavior will be asked to leave the league.
